Abednego Akol Liok Dhieu is a dedicated and experienced leader committed to serving the Jieng community worldwide. With a strong background in leadership, community engagement, and advocacy, he is well-positioned to drive positive change and development in the Jieng Nhom Tok Community Association. His campaign emphasizes unity, empowerment, cultural preservation, and social responsibility.

Early Life and Experiences

Abednego Akol Liok Dhieu was born on April 9th, 1986, in Hai Kormudiir residential area in Wau, South Sudan. He began his education at Eastern Bank Primary School in Wau, later moving to Abanpor Primary School, Pagarau Payam Primary School, and Comboni School Mapuordit. Due to the insecurities and conflicts in South Sudan, his educational journey was interrupted, but he resumed school in far east of Ciec manyiel lands.

Leadership Experience

  • Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM): Active member, contributing to the political development of South Sudan
  • Advocate for South Sudan Communities: Works tirelessly to improve the welfare and development of South Sudanese communities
  • United Citizens Party of 64 Tribes: Served as an executive body member, demonstrating leadership and organizational skills.
  • Greater Yirol Youth Association (GYYA): Elected as Secretary General in 2007, establishing office structures and contributing to community welfare
  • School Leadership Roles: Held positions such as school head in John Paul Basic School, school head boy in Torit Day Senior Secondary School, and school head prefect of Comboni College Secondary School

Personal Statement:
Abednego Akol Liok Dhieu's motivation for serving the Jieng Nhom Tok community association stems from his desire to rescue the community from potential collapse due to ideological clashes, divisions, dissensions, and confusions. He aims to solve these problems and move the community forward with progressive ideas that restore liberation ideals, promote political freedom, and bring justice, equality, and accountability.
